During Hotwire’s Million Dollar Sale,” travelers to Las Vegas can book 5-Star hotel rooms for just $50 per night!

UPDATE 11/22/17: Due to an overwhelming response, Hotwire’s Las Vegas Million Dollar Sale has SOLD OUT!

The first time I visited Las Vegas, I was nearing the end of a 16-day Green Tortoise bus tour of the Western National Parks. Needless to say, I did not arrive in style as I always imagined I would.

Our motley crew had been living like hippies, snoozing in sleeping bags like sardines, and we hit the town sporting shorts, T-shirts, and hiking boots.

That was not the best way to experience Las Vegas, but the latest promotion from Hotwire® makes it easy for anyone to do it right.

If a Las Vegas vacation has been a fixture on your bucket list, but luxury travel never fit your budget, your time has arrived!

How Does it Work?

During Hotwire’s “Million Dollar Sale,” travelers to Las Vegas may book a maximum of two nights at participating 5-star hotels for $50 each.

Rooms at this rate are limited to double occupancy. Taxes are not included, and additional fees may apply for extra guests.

This promotion at Hotwire® is NOW open for reservations between December 8 – 28, 2017.

To take advantage of this limited promotion:

1. Navigate to the Hotwire website.

2. Type “Las Vegas” in the Destination field.

3. Enter the projected dates of your December 2017 visit.

4. Click “Find a Hotel.”

Your booking options will be displayed, along with property descriptions, Las Vegas neighborhood, and amenities.  TripAdvisor® and Hotwire® reviews are available, as well.

The only thing you will not be able to see prior to booking is the hotel name. This limitation allows Hotwire® to partner with upscale hotels that rarely offer discount pricing.

Allocated rooms are expected to sell out within a few days, so DON’T DELAY!

So What’s the Catch?

Even though this deal may sound too good to be true, simply put, there is NO CATCH!

In order to make these rates possible, Hotwire® is investing $1 million to offset room costs for their customers.

Hotwire® President Neha Parikh puts it this way, “I believe Hotwire is a different kind of travel site, a different kind of company. I am putting my money where my mouth is in terms of showing the incredible value we bring to people who love to travel . . . . The Million Dollar Sale is our way of saying ‘thank you,’ by putting luxury five-star travel within everyone’s reach.”

The average retail rate for a 5-star Las Vegas hotel during the month of December is $432. I am no mathematician, but according to my calculations, that is a greater than 85% discount and a savings of $382.

This limited-time offer will remain open until Hotwire® hits the million dollar spend limit.

The Luxury & Holiday Travel Survey

Hotwire® recently partnered with CITE Research to conduct the Luxury & Holiday Travel Survey. The intention of the study was to “shed light on U.S. travel habits in relation to overnight stays at five-star hotels and as a stress-reliever during the hectic holiday season.”

The survey revealed that taking a quick getaway was the preferred choice for travelers hoping to relieve holiday stress.

This finding signaled that the time was right for Hotwire® to feature a Million Dollar Sale.

The Luxury & Holiday Travel Survey also showed that:

Millennials are nearly three times as likely to have booked a five-star hotel during the last five years than their Baby Boomer counterparts.

• High prices are the number one obstacle for travelers hoping to book five-star hotel rooms.

• Singles are more likely to travel to relieve holiday stress than married couples.

• Only 6% of the survey respondents considered themselves stress-free during the holidays.
